Details:
Coverage for five years, or 100,000 miles.
General Motors backs up each 2009 model year passenger car, light duty truck or van with a powertrain warranty for five years, or 100,00 miles – whichever comes first. No deductible. Check with your Cadillac dealer for specific terms and conditions. This warranty supports General Motors vehicles registered in the United States. It is in effect from the date of original in-service date of the vehicle for repairs backed by the warranty. These are repairs that are necessary as a direct result of defects due to original material and/or work done to Powertrain components which are:
Engine
Block, cylinder head, engine mount, flywheel, gaskets, harmonic balancer, OHC carriers, oil pan, oil pump/oil pump housing, supercharger, timing chain, timing cover, timing gears, and seals. Timing belts are protected until the first scheduled maintenance period.
Transaxle/Transfer Case/Transmission
All internal lubricated parts, case, gaskets, seals, torque converter, transfer case, and transaxle/transmission mounts.
Drive Systems
All internal lubricated parts, axle housing, axle shafts and bearings, constant velocity joints, final drive housing, front and rear hub bearings, front differential actuator, locking hubs, propeller shafts, seals and gaskets, universal joints, and wheel bearings.
Courtesy Transportation Program
While the warranty is active, CTP provides transportation or reimburses expenses for transportation if your vehicle requires repairs covered by the warranty. For more details regarding available transportation options, refer to the Owners Manual or consult your dealer/retailer.
What Is Not Covered
The above components are not covered by warranty for damage due to accident, alteration, contaminated or poor quality fuel, insufficient or improper maintenance, or misuse. Full details regarding coverage are in your Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet.
This coverage is to complement the Express Conditions and Warranties detailed in the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet. Due to this supplement, other coverages are not extended or altered.
For protection that provides a more comprehensive coverage than what comes with the 2009 model year passenger car, light duty truck and van and goes beyond the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, the GM Protection Plan from an authorized GM service contract is available through your dealer. Roadside Assistance Program
General Motors provides the security, convenience and quick response expected of it by way of 24/7 Roadside Assistant Program. For 100,000 miles, or 5 years, that convenience is yours. Bumper to Bumper Limited Warranty
Coverage for this warranty is limited to GM vehicles registered in the United States. Consult your Cadillac dealer for specific terms and conditions.
The following are covered 50,000 miles, or 4 years:
- Cosmetic corrosion as a result of defects
- No charge and no deductible for covered warranty repairs
- Repairs made to correct any vehicle defect
- The complete vehicle
- Tires (for defects by manufacturer only)
- Towing to your nearest Cadillac dealership
6 year coverage for rust-through corrosion
Corrosion Protection
- 6 years of rust-through corrosion
All Cadillac vehicles made to last – durability is a priority. Cadillac vehicles are specially designed to resist corrosion. It is not necessary to apply any third-party rust-reducing materials and none is recommended. Every component on the body is warranted against rust-through corrosion. Every component on the body of the vehicle is protected with rust-through corrosion warranties. Consult your Cadillac dealer for terms and specific details of this limited warranty.
Important Info Regarding Alterations and Warranties
General Motors and the General Motors New-Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any alterations or installations made to the vehicle as it was originally distributed by General Motors. The assembler, equipment installer, special body company, or up fitter is only responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect due to alterations) to any of the assemblies, components, parts, or systems installed by General Motors. General Motors cannot be held responsible for the safety or quality of work, design, or materials of any alterations done by such suppliers.
